Lovely Summer Recipe for White Chocolate Flan with Saskatoon Berry Sauce

Oops, had an error in the URL of my last post. Drat.

It should have gone like this:

This recipe for white chocolate flan with Saskatoon berry sauce is a fine addition to a summer meal.  It’s a caramelized custard with a wine-soaked berry sauce.  Sounds wonderful just thinking about it, doesn’t it?

Saskatoon berries grow in the prairie regions of North America.  They are a true delicacy.  If they are not available, however, you can use any other berry for this recipe. Strawberries raspberries, currants, blueberries – all work just fine.

Wonderful Recipe for Chocolate Cinnamon Lava Cakes

This recipe for chocolate cinnamon lava cakes is simple enough to make, and good enough to serve at a fancy dinner party. The little cakes will burst forth with yummy, gooey, chocoalty goodness when opened.

As is the case with all chocoalte recipes, excellence is achieved by using good quality chocolate to start with. The cheaper stuff just doesn’t give the results you are hoping for.

The recipe serves eight. You will need eight ramekins or custard dishes.

Royal Wedding Recipe: Try Prince Williams Chocolate Biscuit Cake

Having a party for the Royal wedding tonight?  If you are, why not celebrate by serving the same chocolate biscuit cake that Prince William has requested for his wedding feast?

This cake is one of two slated to show up on the royal menu.  As I understand the story, Wills mom, the late Princess Diana, used to make this cake for the boys when they were kids.

It’s an easy, no bake cake made with tea biscuits and set in the refrigerator.

Chocolate Cafe au Lait for Easter Breakfast

The recipe makes about four cups and takes approximately 15 minutes to prepare.

You'll want to serve it in beautiful, clear coffee cups, of course.

Try this Recipe for Sweet and Salty Brownies

Check out these sweet and salty brownies. When we think of the luscious chocolate bar known as brownies, we usually think of a chocolate snack food that is topped with icing or whipped cream.

This recipe is a little different. Rather than the traditional chocolate frosting, these brownies are topped with a mixture of salted peanuts and pretzels, moistened with agave.

It's a yummy treat and well worth a try.

Recipe for Black and White Shortbread Cookies

This cookie recipe is colorful as well as yummy. It involves chocolate shortbread cookies and white shortbread cookies sandwiched together with red jam or jelly in the middle.

Since you use a cookie cutter to cut the Black and White Shortbread Cookies,  you can cut the cookies to suit any holiday, celebration or event.  Cut them with a shamrock and you have a great St. Patrick's Day cookie. For St. Paddy's Day, you could substitute the red filling with green icing if you wanted.

They're fine as they are for Valentine's Day or Christmas, cut with heart shaped cutters or Christmas themed cutters.

For Easter, you could use egg shaped cutters or bunny cutters or lamb cutters, and fill with a yellow icing or perhaps lemon filling.

For Halloween, use pumpkin or ghost shaped cutters. The red jelly filling would work okay, or you could use something orange colored.

Have fun with this recipe.
